On Saturday 29 July, we’re once again taking SIRF on the road with some exciting preview performances giving you a taster of what you can expect to see at SIRF17.

These fun, family friendly performance for all ages will be taking place in Billingham, Norton, Preston Park, Ingleby Barwick and Thornaby between 11.30am and 3pm.

Thornaby Town Centre – Hippochondriac by Thingumajig Theatre
Saturday 29 July – 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.20pm (3x 30mins walkabout performances)
Big, friendly and always open to a tickle, this pedal-powered giant hippo puppet will bring spectacle
and smiles to Thornaby Town Centre.

Ingleby Barwick – The Stereomen by Rannell (3x 20mins walkabout performances)
Saturday 29 July – 11am (Library paved area) and 1pm & 2.30pm (Sandgate Shops – The Rings)
These two energetic characters with stereos for heads will pump up the volume as they encourage
party-loving passers-by to dance along with them.

Preston Park Museum & Grounds – Bee Cart by Pif-Paf Theatre
Saturday 29 July – 11am, 11.45am and 2.15pm  (3x 45mins walkabout performances)
Bee Guides Bombus and Borage have left the Hive with the Bee Cart and arrived in Preston Park,
enjoy their mobile world of interaction exploring all things Bees and Pollination.

Norton High Street – British Bobbies by Grand Theatre of Lemmings
Saturday 29 July – 11am, 12.30pm & 2pm (3x 45mins walkabout performances)
British Bobbies will be keeping the peace and checking for suspicious behaviour around Norton
High Street – the long leg of the law (as they are known) will bring smiles to the faces of anyone who
encounter them.

Billingham Town Centre – The Pentagon by Scott Walker
Saturday 29 July – 11am – 3pm
Children and adults will be drawn to the Pentagon – get stuck in with the paint pens to help create a
huge piece of community artwork.
