Action d'espace was born in 2007, from the will of choreographer François Rascalou to register his creations in a coherent approach, where the writing leads the performers to act as much as to dance and say.
This dance-action is a constant of the company, the search for a continuity in the state of body of the dancer-actor. It will help to move creations away from formal research, and at the same time, to place them in an increasingly open space, a relationship with the public assumed, a dance that opens the space.
In 2012 , the public space, the street, becomes the privileged playground of the company, its writing laboratory. It is by inserting into this reality that the company finds today the inspiration to conceive works that anchor it in this "action of space", and which endeavor to develop the possibility, for each, intimacy with art. The company is now recognized for its creativity in public space and the specificity of its relationship to the viewer. A spectator standing, immersed in the heart of writing.
The company is supported by important street arts operators, both in co-productions and residencies, and the broadcasting of shows. She has twice been the winner of the SACD Authors Award for Sons of Men and Breath, and benefited from writing assistance from the Beaumarchais Foundation for Premier Crie.
