When Mike McGrother assembled a random group of musicians together to raise some funds for his local youth orchestra back in November 1991 none of them could have foreseen that 30 years later the band would have become one of the North East’s best loved musical exports.

The Wildcats remain fiercely devoted to Stockton and SIRF citing it as their ‘home match – their happy place’ and so they are delighted to come out of what Mike refers to as ‘semi-retirement’ and bring some joy and irishishness back to our riverside for this very special festival and to mark their three decades in style.
